I'm a software engineer employed by IBM
in Rochester, Minnesota, home
of the world-famous Mayo Clinic. I
am
one of the architects of the WebSphere
Application Server product, which is useful for things like web banking, customer service, and other scenarios where businesses want to empower their customers to safely perform tasks and applications that might have been available
only
on the business's internal computer systems previously. An example would be
a bank that wants to let customers pay bills and transfer money between
accounts using a web browser from their home.
Pleasure
In my spare time I enjoy woodworking, RC model airplane and helicopter flying, home
automation,
surfing the Internet, producing electronic music (mainly Techno/Dance)
and watching my kids grow up. I also keep busy with home improvement
projects
around the house. My family and I are presently building a vacation/second house (I mean really building it ourselves!) on some land we own in central Wisconsin near Wautoma.
